Let us all walk together
A huge thank you to everyone who came along on the 8th November to make magical memories!
The lanterns this year were spectacular this year!! Some stunning creations, the creative levels are now firmly set to 'awesome'.
Rutland Morris were there to open the event with some live music and dancing, then skipped the procession into the Castle grounds. Followed by a warm song in a singing circle from Sarah (Wa Wa Women).
Watch this space for the next Magical Lantern Walk dates in November 2026.

Did you know...
11th November is St Martins Day (also known as Martinmas) and marks the end of the old agricultural calendar. Martinmas is celebrated today across parts of Europe, children carry lanterns they have made and singing Martin songs, processing through the town. Traditionally the walk begins at the town church and finishing at the town centre.
