Let us all walk together
Thank you to everyone who came to walk together this year, on Saturday 9th November 2024! An estimated 200 people arrived at Oakham All Saints' Church and wove through in a magical procession through Cutts Close to Oakham Castle. We look forward to seeing you again next year! (Saturday 8th November TBC) |
Did you know...
11th November is St Martins Day (also known as Martinmas) and marks the end of the old agricultural calendar. Martinmas is celebrated today across parts of Europe, children carry lanterns they have made and singing Martin songs, processing through the town. Traditionally the walk begins at the town church and finishing at the town centre.

This Root-and-Branch Out CIC community building project happens with the support, help and permission given so generously by so many.
